The latest issue - all letters that we send to doctors at the RAH from our private rooms come back with a sticker saying they can't deliver it (deliver is spelt wrong) without the wayfinding number. My secretary was told to ring GP liaison, has left 2 messages on a message bank with no response.

Timely communication between doctors is important- I remember [name removed] being splashed across the paper a year or 2 ago for being slow to get letters out. Surely the easiest and most able group to get the wayfinding number is the hospital mail department, not us.

Until sorted, the details of patients plans for theatre etc are not being communicated to their physicians, anaesthetists and other treating specialists. Can this be raised with management? At the very least a liaison person who is in their office or returns calls would be good.
